BUDGET CAMPING TO MT KENYA CLIMBING FOR 5 DAYS

Nairobi Tour Itinerary

Day 1

SIRIMON-NARUMORU ROUTE

in the morning we leave Nairobi accompanied by our mountain guide.Reach Nanyuki in the afternooon dinner and overnight stay in Nanyuki in the base town of Mt Kenya climb.

Day 2

SIRIMON -OLD MOSES CAMP

A short drive in the morning will take us to Sirimon track. We start our trek, walk to old Moses camp through the rain forest for 9 km (5 hours walk), night stay at Old Moses camp (3500m).

Day 3

MACINDERS VALLEY-SHIMPTONS

After break fast we walk via Macinders Valley to Shiptons camp (4200m). Dinner and overnight stay at the camp.

Day 4

POINT LENANA-SHIPTONS CAMP-MACINDERS CAMP

Early in the morning we climb point Lenana (4985m) on a very clear day we should be able to see Kilimanjaro in the South, Mt. Elgon in the West and the Indian Ocean in the East.

Descend to Shiptons camp for breakfast then to Macinders camp for overnight stay.

Day 5

MET STATION-NARUMORO-CHOGORIA GATE

After breakfast, descend out through Met-station to Naromoro gate before leaving for Nairobi.

* We can also arrange special programs to climb Mt. Kenya through the Chogoria and Naromoru route.
